Step out of the city life by going to Congo Nile Trail and Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo. Traveling from Ruhengeri in March, things will get a bit warmer in Butare: highs are around 31°C and lows about 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Kigali.

Getting from Butare to Kigali by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of car and bus. In March, daytime highs in Kigali are 31°C, while nighttime lows are 19°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Fri) so you can catch the flight back home.
