In December, daily temperatures in Adelaide can reach 30°C, while at night they dip to 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Coober Pedy.

You can do a combination of bus and flight from Adelaide to Coober Pedy in 7.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and car; or drive. Traveling from Adelaide in December, things will get a bit warmer in Coober Pedy: highs are around 40°C and lows about 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Fri) to allow time to fly to Port Lincoln.

You can fly from Coober Pedy to Port Lincoln in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) so you can catch the flight to Kangaroo Island.

Traveling by flight from Port Lincoln to Kangaroo Island takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and taxi. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Delamere.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Aldinga Beach and Boomer Beach. Visiting Horseshoe Bay and Morgan Beach will get you outdoors.
