Stateline — 11 nights

Stateline is a census-designated place (CDP) on the east shore of Lake Tahoe in Douglas County, Nevada, United States. Change things up with these side-trips from Stateline: Truckee (West End Beach, Rainbow Bridge / Donner Summit Bridge, &more), Virginia City (St. Mary in the Mountains Catholic Church, Mackay Mansion, &more) and Carson City (Nevada State Railroad Museum & Nevada State Museum). And it doesn't end there: try your luck at Harveys Casino, immerse yourself in nature at Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Sand Harbor, and play a few rounds at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

For where to stay, ratings, and tourist information, refer to the Stateline trip planning site.

Marquette to Stateline is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time is minus 3 hours. When traveling from Marquette in June, plan for somewhat warmer days and slightly colder nights in Stateline: temperatures range from 77°F by day to 41°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Fri) to allow time to fly back home.
