Big Small Town

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Zurich: Kirchturm Heiden (in Heiden), Santis der Berg (in Urnaesch) and Rhine Falls (in Neuhausen am Rheinfall). Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Fri): hike along 5 Lakes Walk, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Matterhorn, then take in the dramatic scenery at Gorner Gorge, then see the interesting displays at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Intercontinental Church Society. Traveling by car from Zurich to Zermatt takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sat) so you can catch the train to Interlaken.

Interlaken, Switzerland — 2 nights
