Medan, Indonesia to Tokyo is an approximately 12-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 2 hours traveling from Medan to Tokyo. In August in Tokyo, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 28°C at night. You'll have a few hours on the 13th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Kyoto.
