Famous as the birthplace of legendary poet Nizami, Ganja is a truly ancient city still bearing traces of the myriad kingdoms and empires that ruled over it in the past.
Spend the 3rd (Fri) exploring at Lake Goygol. There's much more to do: identify plant and animal life at Maralgol lake, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Imamzadeh Mausoleum, admire the striking features of The Alexander Nevsky Church, and walk around Khan's Garden.
