The tiny but densely populated city of Male represents a contrast to the laid-back beach resorts found in much of the rest of the Maldives.

Mumbai, India to Male is an approximately 6.5-hour combination of flight and ferry. Traveling from Mumbai to Male, you'll gain 0.5 hours due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Mumbai in November, you will find days in Male are slightly colder (36°C), and nights are somewhat warmer (30°C). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) so you can catch the ferry to Veligandu.
