Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its superlative natural wonders and easygoing atmosphere.

Bengaluru, India to Pokhara is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and car. The time zone changes from India Standard Time (IST) to Nepal Time (NPT), which is usually a 0.2 hour difference. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Bengaluru in December, with highs in Pokhara at 24°C and lows at 10°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Annapurna Region.

Kathmandu — 6 nights

Once synonymous with the mysterious and inaccessible Shangri-La, today Kathmandu draws an ever-increasing number of tourists, catering to independent travelers of various budgets.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Safaris and Off-Road Tours. Go for a jaunt from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur to see Changu Narayan about 50 minutes away.
