Reykjavik, Iceland — 3 nights

Let the collections at Viking World and Gallery Floi capture your imagination. Step out of the city life by going to Reykjadalur Hot Springs and Gunnuhver Hot Springs. Change things up with these side-trips from Reykjavik: Hraunfossar (in Husafell), Horseback Riding Tours (in Hella) and The Cave (in Reykholt). When traveling from Detroit in June, plan for much colder days and a bit cooler nights in Reykjavik: temperatures range from 55°F by day to 46°F at night. You'll have a few hours on the 14th (Wed) to wrap things up before traveling to Husavik.

Husavik, Iceland — 3 nights

On the 15th (Thu), stroll through Krafla Lava Fields and then admire the landmark architecture of Husavikurkirkja. On the 16th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get a new perspective on nature at The Húsavík Whale Museum, trot along with a tour on horseback, and then see the interesting displays at The Transportation Museum at Ystafell.

Fly from Reykjavik to Husavik in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In June, plan for daily highs up to 56°F, and evening lows to 44°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sat) so you can go by car to Capri.

Capri, Italy — 2 nights

In June, daily temperatures in Ravello can reach 79°F, while at night they dip to 72°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Fri) to allow time to travel to Capo Vaticano.
