Montreal, Canada to Lake Placid is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of bus and car; or do a combination of train and taxi. Traveling from Montreal in June, Lake Placid is a bit cooler at night with lows of 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Lake George.

Start off your visit on the 18th (Sun): have fun and explore at The Children's Museum at Saratoga, then stroll around Shepherd Park, and then explore the activities along Lake George. On the 19th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Million Dollar Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Schroon Lake Town Beach, and then admire the sheer force of Buttermilk Falls.
