Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.Get out of town with these interesting Seattle side-trips: Snoqualmie Point Park (in Snoqualmie), Mount Rainier (in Mount Rainier National Park) and Museum of Glass (in Tacoma). Dedicate the 15th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area.
