Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Get out of town with these interesting Seattle side-trips: Snoqualmie Point Park (in Snoqualmie), Mount Rainier (in Mount Rainier National Park) and Museum of Glass (in Tacoma). Dedicate the 15th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. Next up on the itinerary: take a tour by water with Puget Sound Express, take a stroll through Pioneer Square, explore the wide array of goods at Nordstrom, and see the interesting displays at Museum of History & Industry.
