Stresa — 16 nights

Stresa is a town and comune of about 5,000 residents on the shores of Lake Maggiore in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, about 90km northwest of Milan. Popular historic sites such as Palazzo Borromeo and Isola Bella are in your itinerary. Do some cultural sightseeing at Cantina Fontechiara and Asotom Wine Tasting. Change things up with these side-trips from Stresa: Bellagio (I Giardini di Villa Melzi & Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista), Cervino Breuil-Cervinia Ski Area (in Breuil-Cervinia) and Orta San Giulio (Lake Orta, San Giulio Island, &more). Spend the 22nd (Fri) on two wheels at Anything But Work. There's lots more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di San Vittore, learn about winemaking at Azienda Vitivinicola Enrico Crola, take in nature's colorful creations at Botanical Gardens Of Villa Taranto, and learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Park Pallavicino.
