Wake Forest — 16 nights

Wake Forest is a town in Franklin and Wake counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina; located almost entirely in Wake County, it lies just north of the state capital, Raleigh. Explore Wake Forest's surroundings by going to Dukes of Hazzard museum (in Rougemont), Staunton River Battlefield State Park (in Randolph) and Vollmer Farm (in Bunn). There's still lots to do: take a peaceful walk through Downtown Wake Forest, see the interesting displays at Wake Forest Historical Museum, sample the tasty concoctions at White Street Brewing Co., and stroll around E. Carroll Joyner Park.
