A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
On the 26th (Mon), explore the fascinating underground world of Tuckaleechee Caverns, then find something for the whole family at Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, then whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and finally test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms. On the next day, look for all kinds of wild species at Roaring Fork, take in the awesome beauty at Clingmans Dome, and then trek along Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.

Custer — 2 nights

Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
