2 days in Cañon City Itinerary

Part of Colorado's Royal Gorge Region, Cañon City straddles the Arkansas River.

Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sat): see the interesting displays at Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center, then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, then take in the views from Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, and finally cruise along Skyline Drive. Keep things going the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at Garden Park Fossil Area, hike along Tunnel Drive, then stop by The Gold Mine Rock Shop, and finally explore the different monuments and memorials at Mt Pisgah Cemetery.
