Known as the "Venice of America" because of its extensive network of navigable waterways, Fort Lauderdale welcomes over 10 million annual visitors, most of them attracted by the city's popular beaches and marinas.Kids will appreciate attractions like Cypress Outdoor Adventures and Fort Lauderdale Beach. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Fort Lauderdale is an approximately 12-hour flight. The time zone changes from Brasilia Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. You can fly from Miami to Orlando in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In January, Orlando is slightly colder than Miami - with highs of 25°C and lows of 13°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) so you can go by car to Tampa.
