Although Myanmar moved its capital to Naypyidaw in 2005, Yangon remains the largest city and commercial hub in the country.
Take a break from Yangon (Rangoon) with a short trip to Bogyoke Aung San Market in Pabedan, about 40 minutes away. There's lots more to do: appreciate the history behind Shwedagon Pagoda, walk around Kandawgyi Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Nga Htat Gyi Pagoda, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.
