Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Escape the urban bustle at Miami Beach & Boardwalk and 12th Street Beach. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and Surfside Beach. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Art Deco Historic District, take an in-depth tour of Jewish Museum of Florida - FIU, tour the pleasant surroundings at Lincoln Road, and explore the world behind art at The Wolfsonian - Florida International University.

The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, which is usually a 3 hour difference.
