In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Visiting Waimea Valley and Sunset Beach Park will get you outdoors. We've included these beaches for you: Kailua Beach Park and Kapiolani Regional Park. Get out of town with these interesting Honolulu side-trips: Shark's Cove (in Pupukea) and Lanikai Beach (in Kailua).
