Toronto, Canada to Plattsburgh is an approximately 6-hour car ride. Traveling from Toronto in July, Plattsburgh is a bit cooler at night with lows of 17°C. On the 25th (Tue), you'll travel to Lake Placid.

Step off the beaten path and head to Mount Jo and Adirondack Wildlife Refuge. Get in touch with nature at Lake Placid and Wilmington Town Beach. Getting from Plattsburgh to Lake Placid by car takes about 1.5 hours. Plan for slightly colder nights when traveling from Plattsburgh in July since evenings lows in Lake Placid dip to 12°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) so you can go by car to Lake George.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Star Trek Original Series Set Tour and Magic Forest. Visiting Million Dollar Beach and Gooney Golf will get you outdoors. You can drive from Lake Placid to Lake George in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Lake Placid in July: high temperatures in Lake George hover around 32°C and lows are around 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Mon) early enough to drive to Old Forge.

Take a break from the city and head to McCauley Mountain and Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Hoss's Country Corner. Explore Old Forge's surroundings by going to Lake Lila Primitive Area (in Long Lake) and Blue Mountain Lake (Blue Mountain & Castle Rock Trail).
