22 days in Brisbane, Sydney & Cairns Itinerary

Cozumel, Mexico to Brisbane is an approximately 25.5-hour combination of ferry and flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Cozumel to Brisbane is 15 hours. Traveling by flight from Brisbane to Sydney takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 21°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Fri) early enough to catch the flight to Cairns.

Venture out of the city with trips to Port Douglas (Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas, Safaris, &more), Kuranda (Peter Jarver Gallery & Australian Butterfly Sanctuary) and Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery (in Mossman). Spend the 16th (Sun) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. You can fly from Sydney to Cairns in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. In July, Cairns is somewhat warmer than Sydney - with highs of 30°C and lows of 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Fri) so you can travel back home.
