Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens and Santa Monica Pier will appeal to history buffs. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum and Mission San Juan Capistrano. Get out of town with these interesting Los Angeles side-trips: Third Street Promenade (in Santa Monica), Manhattan Beach (in Manhattan Beach) and Crystal Cove (in Laguna Beach). Pack the 24th (Fri) with family-friendly diversions at Disneyland Park.
