Stockholm, Sweden to Beijing is an approximately 13-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Central European Standard Time to China Standard Time is 7 hours. While traveling from Stockholm, expect much warmer days and a bit warmer nights in Beijing, ranging from highs of 36°C to lows of 21°C. On the 24th (Sat), you're off to Nanyang.

Drive from Beijing to Nanyang in 10 hours. You'll set off for Luoyang on the 3rd (Mon).

Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): delve into the distant past at Shentai Lijing （South Gate） and then contemplate the long history of Guanlin Temple (General Guan's Tomb). Here are some ideas for day two: take an in-depth tour of Luoyang Museum, then stroll around International Mudanyuan, and then go for a walk through Luoyi Ancient City.

Getting from Luoyang to Xi'an by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or fly. In July, daytime highs in Xi'an are 39°C, while nighttime lows are 26°C. On the 7th (Fri), you're off to Kaifeng.

On the 8th (Sat), examine the collection at Liuqingxia Former Residence Memorial Hall, walk around Kaifeng Iron Tower Park, and then stroll around Dragon Pavilion Park (Long Ting). Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Xiangguo Temple.

Getting from Nanyang to Beijing by car takes about 10 hours. You'll have a few hours on the 13th (Thu) to wrap things up before traveling home.
