Hengchun — 4 nights

Bring the kids along to Shadao Ecological Reserve and Fu'an Temple. The adventure continues: enjoy the sand and surf at White Sand Bay, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, don't miss a visit to Feng Chui Sha, and examine the collection at Taipower.

Singapore, Singapore to Hengchun is an approximately 10-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. In May in Hengchun, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 29°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sat) so you can drive to Hualien.

Family-friendly places like Taipei Zoo and Neipi Beach will thrill your kids. Shop till you drop at Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) and Taipei 101. Venture out of the city with trips to Waiao Beach (in Toucheng), Leofoo Village Theme Park (in Guanxi) and Spas (in Yilan City). There's much more to do: visit Ximending, don't miss a visit to Elephant Mountain (aka Nangang District Hiking Trail), pause for some photo ops at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Navy Beifang'ao Jinan Temple.

On the 6th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get engrossed in the history at Penghu Fossil Museum, Head underground at Fong Guei Dong, then enjoy the sand and surf at Shanshui Beach, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Serpent Head Mountain, and finally don't miss a visit to Cimeiyu.
