Known as "Hollywood North," Vancouver boasts one of the largest film/television industries in the world, second only to Los Angeles and New York.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Museum of Anthropology and Granville Island Gallery. Take a break from the city and head to Granville Island and Crescent Beach. Go for a jaunt from Vancouver to North Vancouver to see Deep Cove about 30 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Vancouver Seawall, tour the pleasant surroundings at West Vancouver Seawall, enjoy the sand and surf at Spanish Banks, and examine the collection at Vancouver Police Museum & Archives.
