One of the most cosmopolitan, innovative, and prosperous cities in the country, Leeds went from a run-down mill town to a hip 21st-century urban center in just a few decades.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Ghost & Vampire Tours and Museum Gardens. Venture out of the city with trips to York (York Minster, National Railway Museum, &more), Liverpool (Beatles Statue & Royal Albert Dock Liverpool) and Derby Cathedral (in Derby). There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at York Bird of Prey Centre, contemplate the long history of Kirkstall Abbey, walk around Roundhay Park, and stop by Leeds Dock.
