One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Trickeye Museum Seoul and Seodaemun Prison History Hall. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Seoul: Suwon (Hwaseong Fortress & Seonamgangnu Pavilion), DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju) and T-Light Park (in Ansan). Fly from Seoul to Tokyo in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. When traveling from Seoul in September, plan for somewhat warmer days in Tokyo, with highs around 32°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) so you can fly to Kyoto.
