Shari-cho — 2 nights

Tourism in Shari-cho, a small town situated on Hokkaido's eastern tip, flourishes mainly because of its immediate proximity to the Shiretoko World Heritage Site.
Step off the beaten path and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Oshin Koshin Falls. Change things up with a short trip to Lake Rausu in Rausu-cho (about 52 minutes away). There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Shiretoko Peninsula, contemplate the waterfront views at Shiretoko Goko Lake, soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens, and enjoy the sand and surf at Shiretoko Beach.

Lima, Peru to Shari-cho is an approximately 37-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Peru Standard Time (PET) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 14 hours. In June, Shari-cho is slightly colder than Lima - with highs of 20°C and lows of 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sat) early enough to drive to Yoron-cho.

Kunigami-son — 2 nights

Although the village of Kunigami-son spreads across a large area, it remains sparsely populated, with lots of wild land protected from development.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Tue): look for all kinds of wild species at Daisekirinzan, take some stellar pictures from Cape Hedo, then head outdoors with Adan Beach, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Gallirallus Okinawae Learning Center. On the 13th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Okuma Beach and then look for all kinds of wild species at Vegetation of Tanagagumui.

You can drive from Yoron-cho to Kunigami-son in 4.5 hours. June in Kunigami-son sees daily highs of 34°C and lows of 29°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Onna-son.

Onna-son — 4 nights

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Visit Nirai Beach and Akabaka Beach for some beach relaxation. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Emerald Beach and Manza Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Onna-son: Okichan Theater (in Motobu-cho), Zanpa Beach (in Yomitan-son) and GI Beach (in Ie-son).
