3 days in Omaha Itinerary

A major transportation hub, Omaha was once considered little more than a stopping point on a pioneer's journey west.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Desoto National Wildlife Refuge and General Crook House Museum. Get in touch with nature at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center and Chalco Hills Recreation Area. Step out of Omaha to go to Gretna and see Holy Family Shrine, which is approximately 36 minutes away. The adventure continues: take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Cecilia's Cathedral, pause for some serene contemplation at Kanesville Tabernacle, contemplate the long history of Father Flanagan's Historic House, and sample the tasty concoctions at Lucky Bucket Brewing Company.
