Start off your visit on the 18th (Tue): get engrossed in the history at Eastern State Penitentiary, explore the world behind art at Philadelphia Museum of Art, appreciate the history behind Liberty Bell Center, then ponder the world of politics at Independence Hall, and finally wander the streets of Society Hill.

New York City to Philadelphia is an approximately 1.5-hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. In April, plan for daily highs up to 65°F, and evening lows to 45°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Gettysburg.
