Ljubljana to Piran is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also drive; or take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Ljubljana in November: high temperatures in Piran hover around 17°C and lows are around 8°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sat) so you can drive back home.
