Eisenach is a town in Thuringia, Germany with 42,000 inhabitants, located 50km west of Erfurt, 70km southeast of Kassel and 150km northeast of Frankfurt. Get outdoors at Drachenschlucht / Landgrafenschlucht and Greifenwarte Falknerei am Rennsteig. Bring the kids along to Wartburg Castle and Metilstein. Change things up with these side-trips from Eisenach: Alternativer Barenpark Worbis (in Worbis) and Nationalpark Hainich (in Bad Langensalza). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Bachhaus and cool off at Aquaplex.
