Tombstone — 2 nights

Town Too Tough to Die

Founded in 1877 as a mining camp, Tombstone became one of the most storied towns of the "Wild West." As one of the last frontier boomtowns in the United States, Tombstone prospered between 1880 and 1890, attracting cattle rustlers and outlaws.
Venture out of the city with trips to Chiricahua National Monument (in Willcox), Kartchner Caverns State Park (in Benson) and Colossal Cave Mountain Park (in Vail). And it doesn't end there: explore the different monuments and memorials at Boothilll Graveyard, take in nature's colorful creations at Rose Tree Museum, stop by Johnny One Dog's Tombstone Sarsaparilla, and see the interesting displays at Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park.

In March, plan for daily highs up to 72°F, and evening lows to 46°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
