A vacation in Kigali, Rwanda's capital city and economic hub, lets you experience the very heart of a landlocked country from a pleasant, safe, and organized base point.

You can drive from Kigali to Ruhengeri in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Kigali in May; daily highs in Ruhengeri reach 25°C and lows reach 17°C. On the 10th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Kibuye.

Kibuye is a city in Karongi District, and the headquarters of the Western Province in Rwanda.LocationThe city lies on the eastern shores of Lake Kivu, between Gisenyi and Cyangugu, approximately 135km, by road, west of Kigali, the capital and largest city in the country. Kibuye is known for nature, historic sites, and childrens museums. Getting from Ruhengeri to Kibuye by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive. May in Kibuye sees daily highs of 28°C and lows of 20°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 13th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Muhanga.

Muhanga is a city in Rwanda, in the Muhanga District, in Southern Province. Muhanga is known for classes and sightseeing. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: don't miss a visit to Ahazaza Centre.

Traveling by car from Muhanga to Huye takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sat) early enough to drive to Eastern Province.
