New York City to Clearwater is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from New York City in June: high temperatures in Clearwater hover around 90°F and lows are around 75°F. For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Attractions like Walt Disney World Resort and Epcot make great kid-friendly stops. There's more to do: get in on the family fun at Universal Orlando Resort and make a splash at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
