The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. In April, Phoenix is much hotter than Chicago - with highs of 88°F and lows of 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat) to allow time to drive to Sedona.

Traveling by car from Phoenix to Sedona takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly; or take a bus. Traveling from Phoenix in April, expect Sedona to be little chillier, temps between 72°F and 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Grand Canyon National Park.

Start off your visit on the 23rd (Sun): trek along Hermit Trail, steep yourself in history at Hermit's Rest, and then take some stellar pictures from Hopi Point.
