Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, snap pictures at Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, and then take a memorable drive along Skyline Drive. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center, play a few rounds at Four Mile Ranch Golf Club, then do a tasting at The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Garden Park Fossil Area.

Getting from Colorado Springs to Cañon City by car takes about an hour. Other options: drive; or take a bus. September in Cañon City sees daily highs of 83°F and lows of 56°F at night. On the 24th (Sun), you're off to home.
