Ljubljana to Portorož is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also drive; or take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Plan for a bit warmer nights when traveling from Ljubljana in April since evenings lows in Portorož dip to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Thu) so you can drive to Bovec.
