Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Explore Seattle's surroundings by going to Bainbridge Island (Bainbridge Island Museum of Art & Bloedel Reserve), Olympic National Park (Mount Walker, Hood Canal, &more) and Tacoma (Union Station, Washington State History Museum, &more). Dedicate the 1st (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. Spend the 5th (Wed) wandering through the wild on Discover Nature. And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Space Needle, explore the activities along Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, admire the masterpieces at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and tour the pleasant surroundings at B&B Family Farm.
