You'll gain 2 hours traveling from Buenos Aires to Ollantaytambo due to the time zone difference. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Buenos Aires in December: highs in Ollantaytambo hover around 24°C, while lows dip to 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Fri) early enough to take a shuttle to Cusco.

Traveling by shuttle from Ollantaytambo to Cusco takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In December, daytime highs in Cusco are 24°C, while nighttime lows are 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Thu) so you can drive to Mollepata.

You can drive from Cusco to Mollepata in 2.5 hours. In January, daily temperatures in Mollepata can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 9°C. You'll set off for Machu Picchu on the 21st (Sun).

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Intipuncu and Mandor. Popular historic sites such as Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu and Rocas Sagradas are in your itinerary.
