Drive from Old Forge to Saranac Lake in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Traveling from Old Forge in September, plan for little chillier nights in Saranac Lake, with lows around 41°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) so you can drive to Ticonderoga.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): take in the dramatic scenery at The Falls of Carillon, then see the interesting displays at The Hancock House, then stroll through Mount Independence State Historic Site, and finally see what you can catch with Freshwater Therapy.
