A truly contemporary city criss-crossed by history, Baku offers everything from the modern elegance of the Flame Towers to the medieval UNESCO-listed Old City at its core.

Singapore, Singapore to Baku is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Singapore Standard Time (SGT) to Azerbaijan Standard Time (AZT), which is usually a -4 hour difference. Traveling from Singapore in July, expect a bit cooler with lows of 26°C in Baku. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Mon) so you can go by car to Khinalig.

This picturesque village is located at over 2,000 m (6,500 ft) above sea level and it is said to be connected with the story of Noah: according to legend, when Noah saw this high, flat terrain, he dropped anchor and told everyone to leave the Ark.

Traveling by car from Baku to Khinalig takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi; or do a combination of train and taxi. On the 4th (Tue), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
