5 days in Boston & Salem Itinerary

Kick off your visit on the 20th (Tue): get engrossed in the history at John F. Kennedy Presidential Museum & Library, browse the exhibits of Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, and then don't miss a visit to Newbury Street. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Wed): get engrossed in the history at USS Constitution Museum, appreciate the extensive heritage of Freedom Trail, then wander the streets of North End, and finally browse the different shops at Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

Roanoke to Boston is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Traveling from Roanoke in June, you will find days in Boston are a bit cooler (76°F), and nights are about the same (60°F). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Thu) so you can go by car to Salem.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): steep yourself in history at The House of the Seven Gables, stroll the grounds of Old Burying Point Cemetery, then see the interesting displays at Salem Witch Museum, and finally look for gifts at Crow Haven Corner. Traveling by car from Boston to Salem takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In June, daily temperatures in Salem can reach 76°F, while at night they dip to 56°F. You'll have a few hours on the 24th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling home.
