Kick off your visit on the 4th (Tue): take in the views from Szechenyi Lanchid, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), then pause for some serene contemplation at University Church, and finally steep yourself in history at Liberty Statue. On the next day, ponder the world of politics at Hungarian Parliament Building, steep yourself in history at Heroes' Square, see the interesting displays at House of Terror Museum, then steep yourself in history at Matthias Church, and finally contemplate the long history of Fisherman's Bastion.

Barcelona, Spain to Budapest is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Plan for a bit cooler nights when traveling from Barcelona in April since evenings lows in Budapest dip to 5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Vienna.
