Gornji Grad — 4 nights

Gornji Grad is the largest settlement and the administrative centre of the Municipality of Gornji Grad in Slovenia.GeographyIt is located on the Dreta River, a right tributary of the Savinja, in the southeastern foothills of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, about 36km east of Celje and 55km north of Ljubljana. Venture out of the city with trips to Mayor's Cave (in Grosuplje), Grad (Grad Castle & Vulkanija Adventure Park) and Land of Hayracks (in Šentrupert). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Peca Underground - Tourist Mine and Museum, pause for some photo ops at Plečnik Monument, take in the awesome beauty at Velika Planina, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Gornji Grad Cathedral.
