5 days in Key West Itinerary

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.

Take a break from the city and head to Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory and Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden. We've included these beaches for you: Bahia Honda State Park and South Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Key West: Dolphin Research Center (in Grassy Key) and Sombrero Reef (in Marathon). Next up on the itinerary: look for all kinds of wild species at Vandenberg Wreck, see the interesting displays at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Mary Star of the Sea.
