Newark to Cañon City is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and taxi. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Newark to Cañon City. Plan for slightly colder nights when traveling from Newark in April since evenings lows in Cañon City dip to 38°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Tue) early enough to drive to Manitou Springs.

Drive from Cañon City to Manitou Springs in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In April, Manitou Springs is little chillier than Cañon City - with highs of 57°F and lows of 30°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 7th (Fri) to allow time for the flight back home.
