Explore Manitou Springs' surroundings by going to Divide (Mueller State Park, Horsethief Falls, &more) and Pikes Peak Historical Society Museum (in Florissant). Dallas to Manitou Springs is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time (CST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a -1 hour difference. Traveling from Dallas in January, expect nights in Manitou Springs to be colder, around 15°F, while days are a bit cooler, around 43°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Cañon City.

On the 5th (Thu), head outdoors with Outdoor Activities, take in the views from Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, and then admire all the interesting features of Skyline Drive. Traveling by car from Manitou Springs to Cañon City takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Manitou Springs in January, with highs in Cañon City at 49°F and lows at 25°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) so you can catch the flight back home.
