Tannersville — 4 nights

The village of Tannersville, in Pocono Township, Pennsylvania, is the site of the popular Camelback Ski Area and Camelbeach Waterpark. Venture out of the city with trips to Hickory Run State Park (in White Haven) and Blue Mountain Resort (in Palmerton). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 27th (Tue) at Kalahari Waterparks. There's lots more to do: hit the slopes at Camelback Mountain Ski Resort, cool off at Split Rock Resort Indoor Waterpark, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Pocono Snake & Animal Farm, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area.

Plan my Tannersville trip by asking Klarna Trips to come up with tips and suggestions.

Orlando to Tannersville is an approximately 8.5-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive; or take a bus. Plan for colder temperatures traveling from Orlando in December, with highs in Tannersville at 38°F and lows at 24°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Fri) so you can travel back home.

Taking up the better part of northeastern Pennsylvania, the Pocono Mountains Region contains more than 6,200 sq km (2,400 sq mi) of rolling mountains, waterfalls, lakes, forests, and streams. A year-round vacation getaway, the region once attracted mostly honeymooners. Today, the Poconos draw adventure-seekers from around the globe, arriving in throngs to explore one of the southernmost ski areas in the United States. Famous for its pristine nature teeming with native wildlife, the region is a quick car ride from New England or New York. The Pocono Mountains do not encompass any major cities--the wilderness area dotted with small towns and natural attractions makes this one of the least polluted portions of the region.
