Agios Dionisios Church and Giatras Museum-Dionysios Art Gallery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Popular historic sites such as Zoodochos Pigis Church and Zakynthos Metropolis Church are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Laganas: Goumas Estate - Art & Wine Winery (in Maries), Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach) (in Anafonitria) and Gerakas Beach (in Vasilikos). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Laganas Beach, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Eleftherotria Monastery, examine the collection at Callinico Winery Museum, and step into the grandiose world of Enetiko Kastro Bochalis.

Located just off the west coast of mainland Greece, Zakynthos enjoys a reputation as both a party destination and a family-friendly getaway. Packed with foreign tourists along its eastern and southeastern coastline, the island also features numerous tranquil pockets in its central region of forested mountains and rolling hills.
